Emma Ibáñez Frau was born in Palma de Mallorca in 2002.
She started her dance education at the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca where she completed her elementary degree focused on ballet and Spanish dance, receiving the Outstanding Student Award at the end of her studies there. Then, she joined the apprentice programme from Pasodos Dance Company / Palma Dance Center under the direction of Laura Macías and Gavin de Paor, which included ballet, contemporary dance and jazz formation. She also got the chance to gain stage experience while touring through Spain with different productions and started developing her choreographic skills as well. She's a student of the BaTanz in HfMDK since the WS 21/22 and she holds the Deutschlandstipendium supported by the Tanja Liedtke Stiftung since the WS 22/23.
In her previous formation, she took classes with prestigious teachers such as Renato Paroni, Pascal Touzeau, Alfonso Palencia, Natsu Sasaki, Elena Glurjidze, Benito Marcelino, Emmanuelle Broncin, Gabor Kapin and Olaf Schmidt among others. During her studies at HfMDK she has attended various workshops with dancers and choreographers like Rena Butler, Milan Herich, Narendra Patil, Nica Caccivio, Sebastian Weber and Max Levy.
