On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, an evacuation drill will take place at the HfMDK Frankfurt at 3 pm. Houses A, B, C and D (refectory) at the main campus in Eschersheimer Landstraße 29-39 are affected.

All university members and guests present are required to participate in the exercise and follow the instructions of the responsible staff members.

The aim is to practice how to get to safety in the event of a fire. This means that immediately when you hear the alarm or see the alarm lights flashing, you must leave the building using the designated escape routes and proceed to the assembly point. The assembly point and escape routes are shown in the escape and rescue plans which are displayed in the buildings.

The drill is carried out by our external fire safety officer with the support of the employees of the building management and our internal evacuation assistants.

Procedure of the exercise

• On Wednesday, 01.11.2023 at 3 p.m. the alarm signal will sound and/or the alarm lights will flash.
• You leave the building immediately via the escape routes (marked by escape route pictograms).
• Go to the assembly point in front of Saalbau AG (Eschersheimer Landstraße 23).
• They wait there until the house is cleared again.

We know that the exercise is not necessarily a welcome interruption of your classes or work (we assume a maximum interruption of 30 minutes). However, please remember that in the event of an emergency fire, your health and life are at stake. Training for an emergency through this exercise is therefore essential for your safety and that of everyone involved.
